Warren Sales, 59, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on December 29, 2012.

Warren Sales was born in Chattanooga on May 24, 1953. He came to Christ at an early age attending Gospel Lighthouse Church in Chattanooga.  He graduated from Riverside High School in 1971 and went on to join The U.S. Marines Corps of which he invested 36 years. He later joined a brotherhood of brave firefighters in 29 Palms C.A. and ended his career at Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta, Ga. He devoted 33 years towards a successful career as an aircraft firefighter before retiring in 2005.

Warren is preceded in death by his mother Vera Mae Sales, father Edward Thomas, sisters Doretha Sales and Debbie Sales, brother Floyd Sales, eight uncles, and seven aunts.

Warren is survived by his wife of 35 years; Terry Sales of Douglasville, GA, children, Lekista Sales of Chicago, IL, Letoya Pickett (Charles) of Merrillville, IN, Shallon Sales of Chattanooga, Stacey Sales, Bethany Sales, Kristina Sales, Kristopher Sales and Warren Xavier Sales of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Jaimeson Sales, Brittney Sales, Brian Sales, Zhana Pickett, Chaz Sales,  Alissa Sales, Devonte Sales, Ashenia Sales, Keyonte Sales; sisters, Janet Sales (Zach) and Maryland Thomas; brothers, Ray Thomas and Michael Thomas; aunts, Pearl Sales and Florence Talley; nieces, Jasmine Scruggs and Toshiba Sales; nephew, Christopher Sales; father-in-law, Roland Sanders; sisters-in-law, Glenda Nesbit and Angela Ford; brother-in-law, Lewis Nesbit; nieces, Cherish Nesbit and Glendra (Chris) Craig; nephew, Trammell Nesbit. Warren is also survived by his dearest friend, Ann Farmer and a host of cousins, family, and friends.

The funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 7, at 12 p.m. at Mount Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Pastor Ternae Jordan officiating.  The burial will take place following the funeral at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Sunday and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995.
