Lee Varner
Lee Merlin Varner, Sr., 72, of Falling Water, died on Monday, March 11, 2013.
He was born in Soddy on March 11, 1941, to Roy M. and Virginia K. Settles Varner who preceded him in death along with sisters, Virginia Eunice and Nina Ruth Varner.
In his youth he was a cub scout and played basketball at Manchester High School. Lee was a 1959 graduate of Soddy Daisy High School. He was an iron worker with Local 704 working many years with TVA. Lee was a person with a big heart. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, the elderly and his cats.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Judy B. Varner; daughter, Vickie (Danny) Hawkins of Chattanooga; son Lee M. (Mary) Varner, Jr. of Trenton; daughter, Tammy Sneed of Soddy Daisy; son, Lebron (Amanda) Sneed of Sale Creek; grandchildren, Hannah Hawkins, Kaytlin, Jessica, Cameron and Alexis Varner, Brittany (Justin) Wilkey, Jamie Sneed, Trey, Noah and Hallie; sister, Judy V. Miller; niece, Stephanie K. (Lonnie) Alexander; aunt, Sara Jo Burke of Ervin, Tn.; aunt, Sue Settles of Falling Water, several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends with special remembrances to granddaughter, Christy Randolph and grandnephew, Aidan Alexander.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 14, at noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton County Memorial Park.
Visitation is Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
