Frankie Libby Pearce, 76, of Chattanooga, formerly of Atlanta, died on Thursday, May 23, 2013. 

She was born Feb. 28, 1937 in Louisville, Ms. to the late Frank J. Libby and Florence Blankenship Libby. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Pearce and a son, Joseph Murphy.

Before retiring to Chattanooga she was the administrative head of the Medical Technology Lab at Grady Memorial Hospital and was a member of St. Bede’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the altar guild.

Mrs. Pearce was an active member of St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church. as well as the altar guild there.

Survivors include her brother, David (Donna) Libby, of Memphis, sister-in-law, Josephine Woods, of Chattanooga, and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, at St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church with the Reverend Jim Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Memorial services will also be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Pearce’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105.
