Kathryn Ogle, 81, of Dalton, GA, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the local hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Kathryn was born June 4, 1932 in Oakman, GA, a daughter of the late William Lewis and Leona Jane Rittenberry Pippin; and was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Ruth Pippin, Altie Pippin, Harry Pippin, Haskell and Minnie Pippin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys and Henry Wilson and Mina Jo and Bill Holcomb.
She was a devoted and faithful member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church for over 65 years. Kathryn was retired form J & J Industries.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Robin and Kenny Bailey of Tunnel Hill and Rhonda Ogle Greene of Dalton, GA; special niece whom she thought of as a third daughter, Joyce Pippin of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Nathan and Anna Ridley, Nicole and Anthony Flowers, Jeremy Bailey, Trey Smith and Baileigh Smith; great-grandchildren, Logan, Blake and Caleb Ridley, Kyler Bailey, Bailey and Braden Flowers; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Virginia Pippin of Cohutta, GA; and several other nieces, nephews and friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Kathryn Ogle will be held Sunday, January 19, at 3 p.m. at Welcome Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Travis Martin and Reverend Randy Vaughn officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Elrod (Welcome Hill) Cemetery with Brian Mathis, Sam Shell, Dave Cook, Andy Cook, Keith Stancill, Jeff O’Donald, Samuel Pippin and Scott Mathis serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, January 18 and after noon on Sunday, January 19.
