DTZ Team Continues To Grow With Industry Veterans

  • Wednesday, October 1, 2014

DTZ, a global property services firm, announces its first round of hires for the Atlanta/Chattanooga office since the appointment of Chris White as executive vice president and managing director.

David Barrueta is appointed vice president, Southeast region brokerage operations, with an office in Chattanooga. Mr. Barrueta launched his career in Washington, DC at Barrueta & Associates, his family-owned company that was ranked #1 by the Washington Business Journal based on total square footage represented.

In 1997, he joined the Atlanta office of Cushman & Wakefield.  Then, from 1998 through 2003, Mr. Barrueta was a nationally focused corporate services broker for Magellan Health Services.  During that time he was involved in office and industrial lease negotiations in 48 states.

“The regional marketplace is looking for a global occupier services platform that meets the unique needs of the middle market – one with multi-service and multi-geography capabilities,” said Mr. Barrueta.  Since 1993, he has represented the interests of notable clients such as Volkswagen, Siemens, Wells Fargo Advisors, BB&T, AT&T, Comcast and Regions Bank.  Mr. Barrueta’s primary focus, as he begins his tenure with DTZ, is office tenant representation in Atlanta’s Central Perimeter submarket while supporting DTZ colleagues with ongoing clients’ needs in both Georgia and Tennessee.
