James “Wilfred” Prince, 88, of Benton, TN, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014, in a Cleveland health care facility.
He retired from Hardwick Stove after 35 years of service. He enjoyed raising calves and trading at the stock barn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harley and Alma Davis Prince; step-mother, Bessie Prince; son, Doyle Prince; and sisters, Airlene Prince and Carrie Dutton.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Prince; daughters, Sharon (Julian) Botts of Cleveland and Jenell (Jack) Williams of Riceville, TN; granddaughters, Julie (Nathan) Sampley of Ooltewah and Jill Williams of Riceville, TN; and great-grandchildren, Falon and Mason Sampley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, October 17, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Caffrey officiating. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, at Delano Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 17, at the Ryan Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
