McJunkin, Carolyn Lavon Elrod

Carolyn Lavon Elrod McJunkin, 76, of East Ridge, Tennessee, died on Friday, October 24, 2014.
 
She was born on April 5, 1938, in Chattanooga, the daughter of Elijah “E.B.” and Allean (Cunningham) Elrod. Carolyn graduated from City High School in 1956. She was a collector of insurance for the Hamilton County Ambulance Service for 21 years. She loved her job and loved to help people. She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, and a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Bill McJunkin and her first husband, Jerry Merriman.
 
She is survived by her loving daughter, Angela McJunkin of East Ridge, along with numerous nieces and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, with Gary Beene officiating. Entombment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Heritage Funeral Home on Battlefield Parkway.
