Congratulations To Ron Hughes

  • Wednesday, October 29, 2014

Hearty congratulations to Ron Hughes for being selected as Tennessee State Elementary Principal of the Year for 2014.

Wherever Ron has been assigned as principal, he has exhibited strong leadership both academically and morally. His faith in God and his love for the students of Hamilton County have guided his actions and everyone that has benefited from the excellent education they received under his leadership should thank him for his work.

From the time that Superintendent Don Loftis chose him to be principal of Allen Elementary, Ron has worked tirelessly to provide the best educational opportunities for students and teachers that he could.

Ron has pursued graduate programs to improve himself personally and has networked with national educational collaboratives across the country to make available the latest initiatives that would benefit his students, often at his own expense.

The students at Apison Elementary School are very blessed to have a man such as Ron Hughes as their principal. And I am proud to call him friend and to have served as a colleague with him in the Hamilton County Schools.
