One-Walker Membership Luncheon Is Nov. 18

The Walker County Chamber of Commerce will host their One-Walker Membership Luncheon at the Rossville Civic Center on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

Chamber Chair Melissa Roden will give an overview of the One-Walker Initiative, Mayor Teddy Harris will give the State of the City of Rossville Address, Damon Raines, superintendent of Walker County Department of Education, will speak on the new education initiatives and Commissioner Bebe Heiskell will give a brief State of Walker County Address.  

One-Walker’s purpose is to “Facilitate venue and discussions for the cities, county and Chamber to identify best opportunities for collaboration.”  During her portion of the event, Ms. Roden will discuss how this initiative came about, how the group has operated to date, and how they will continue to work towards a brighter future for Walker County.  

Mayor Harris and Commissioner Heiskell will inform attendees of current happenings in the city of Rossville and Walker County as well as brief outlooks on their respective futures. 

There will be a $100 giveaway sponsored by Hospice of Chattanooga. 

The cost to attend is $15 per person.  Registration includes a meal provided by Carolyn Gamble, No Small Affair. Those wishing to attend must register online; registration will end on Sunday at midnight prior to the event and no walk-ins will be accepted.  Non-Chamber members are required to pay by Visa or MasterCard at the time of registration. Refunds for cancellations will not be accepted after noon on Friday.
