Virginia Pagett
Virginia “Jo” Padgett, 79, of Rossville, died on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Padgett retired from SunTrust Bank following 29 years of service and was a member of South Rossville Baptist Church. She enjoyed running, visiting Disney World, animals, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an avid volunteer at Stone Creek Elementary School.
Her parents, Howard and Cloy Young, and brother, Bill Young, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Padgett; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Phil Morton of Rossville; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Teresa Padgett of Chattanooga; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Linda Young of Birmingham; sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Dave Batten of Phoenix; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. at South Rossville Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Daniels officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
