The Salvation Army is celebrating another visit from the area’s “Secret Santa” who donated 50 one hundred dollar bills to the Battlefield Parkway’s K-Mart Red Kettle Tuesday.
This donation came with a note that stated, “May the peace of Christ be with you always. Please give and give generously!”
“We are always surprised and always grateful when we see such a significant gift in our Red Kettles,” states Major Algerome Newsome, Salvation Army area commander of the Greater Chattanooga Area. “We are celebrating this gift, but also know we have a long way to go before reaching our goal of $450,000.”
Donations can be made to any of our local Red Kettles, online at csarmy.org, by calling 1-800-Sal-Army or by mailing a check to 822 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN, 37403. All donations remain local to assist with local needs.
