Thomas Walker, Jr.
Thomas “Bubba” Walker, Jr., 88, died peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2014.
He was a faithful member of Olivet Baptist Church for many years until his illness. He served in the 101st Airborne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Effie and Thomas Walker; sisters, Dorothy (Parson) Sims, Joi (Cleveland) Billingsley and brother, Charles (Betty) Walker.
Survivors include his brother, Hal (Juanita) Hobbs; two nephews, seven nieces, great-nephews and nieces; cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Olivet Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Adams officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Monday, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
