J. T. Hargis, 84, of Dunlap, TN, died at Erlanger Sequatchie on Sunday, November 30, 2014.
Mr. Hargis was preceded in death by his parents, Standifer and Lillie Williams Hargis; three brothers, Claude, Bill and Carl Hargis; four sisters, Bertha Mae Morgan, Ollie Belle Wallace, Lola Ann Laymon and Martha Ann Hobbs; and step-son, Wayne Fitzgerald.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ann Balasia Hargis; two sons, Edward and Robert Hargis, Dunlap; brother, Donnie (Barbara) Hargis, Dunlap; step-children, Lynn and John Fitzgerald, Dunlap; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The body has been cremated.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. CST Wednesday, December 3 in Ewton Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Dennis Boston officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, December 3.
