U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Worked In Education For Many Years

On Friday April 26, 2024 Jim Fowler, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jim is with his brothers, Tom Fowler and Bob Fowler, as well as his sisters, Carol George and Mary Ellen Collier, along with his parents, Geraldine and Thomas D. Fowler.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sarah, daughter Erin (Nathan) and son Jason, and granddaughters Shelby and Emma Beene.

Jim worked in education for many years. He worked as a coach, teacher, principal and consultant throughout his career.

In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors on the farm, raising blueberries, golfing, hiking, camping, and enjoying nature.

Jim was in the Marine Corps and learned to fly in the Navy. Jim served in the Rossville Chamber of commerce and gave to many charities.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7, from 4-6 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.

The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 6 p.m. with Pastor Darrell Winters officiating.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
