Richard Lambert
Richard Lambert, 71, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025.
He was a member of Ringgold Gospel Tabernacle and had worked as a heavy machine operator with Progress Rail and other companies. He was known as the local “Sanford Man”. Richard had been an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Artemus Benjamin Lambert and Iva Lee Richardson Lambert, a son, Brandy Lambert, two brothers, A.J. Lambert, and Benjamin Lambert, one sister, Pansy (Harry) Pope.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Mary Alice Hensley Lambert; sons, Joel Lambert, Andy (Christie) Lambert and Jamie (Brittany) Lambert; three daughters, Sherry (Ron) Ingram, Michelle (Mitchell) Jarvis and Misty (Randy) Malone; his “fur baby” Princess Sophie; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bertha Mae Wilson, Linda (Ed) Russ, Patricia Lambert and Crystal Robinson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Dean Skipper officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. on Monday. Burial will be in Tenbroeck Cemetery in Fyffe, Al.
