Davis, Floyd Earl Jr. (Summerville)

Floyd Earl Davis Jr., 60, of Summerville, GA, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, in a Rome hospital following an extended illness. 

He was born in Illinois on January 21, 1954 to the late Floyd Earl Davis, Sr. Mr. Davis was retired from the dye house of Mt. Vernon. 

Surviving are sons, Earl Davis, III of Rome, Matthew Davis of Kennesaw and Patrick Davis of Trion; sisters, Rosetta Janes of Tennessee and Pat Skiorshi of Illinois; brother, Samuel Davis of Illinois; special friend, Melissa Cook; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Earle Rainwater Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
