Middle Valley Holds Special Service Honoring Pastor McClure

Middle Valley Church of God, located at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, will celebrate the ministry of Pastor Mitch McClure and his wife, Sherri this Sunday in a special10:30 a.m. service.  

Pastor McClure was appointed to Middle Valley in September 1997 and has led the church in a massive building renovation program, creation and expansion of many community partnerships, strengthening of the teaching and preaching ministry, and overall community service.  He and his wife, Sherri, have been married since 1980 and have two children, Sara of Soddy Daisy and Jonathan of Fort Eustis, Virginia.  Pastor McClure entered ministry in 1977 and has served five congregations in Tennessee.  He is a member of the Partnership for Family, Children and Adults Board of Directors, the Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors  and has served on multiple Boards  in recent years.  Pastor McClure was appointed by the County Commission to complete the unexpired term of Jim Coppinger on the County Commission.  He presently serves on multiple boards within the Church of God. 

The special speaker for the service is Dr. Raymond Hodge.  The ladies of the church will provide a meal at the conclusion of the service in the church Family Life Center.  All are invited to participate in the special service honor Pastor Mitch McClure and his family.
