Catherine Correll
Catherine Ann Correll, 85, died on Sunday, September 14, 2014 in a local health care facility.
Catherine was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, she managed the gospel singings that took place at Hardee's on Highway 58 and attended the singings that took place at several restaurants throughout the Chattanooga area. Her greatest calling was caring for her children, grand children and great grandchildren for whom she loved and cherished.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Hoyle Correll, son, Douglas Alvin Correll and granddaughter, Tabitha Gail Correll.
Survivors include her children: Linda (Ben) Ramsey, Steve Correll, David (Patti) Correll, Mark (Lisa) Correll, Margaret Thompson, Karen (Perry) Smith and Anthony (Christy) Correll; grandchildren: Melissa Ramsey, Natalie Ramsey, Amanda (Kevin) Bacon; several great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of Catherine's life will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Hearrell of Heritage Baptist Church and Brother Richard McKeehan officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
