Entrance Fee Waived At Point Park On National Public Lands Day

  • Wednesday, September 24, 2014

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park announce the waiver of entrance fees to Point Park, atop Lookout Mountain, on Saturday. Visitors are invited to experience the majestic views of Chattanooga’s surrounding landscapes from the nation’s first national military park.

National Public Lands Day is a time when Americans are encouraged to visit a park and learn about the environment and its natural resources. It is also a day that is aimed at promoting the need for continued stewardship of these irreplaceable lands.

Officials said, "We hope you will take this opportunity to participate in a ranger-guided tour, stroll through Point Park, or hike some of the park’s trails in order to experience the wide range of beauty your local national park has to offer."
