Ruby Lee Butts Shropshire, 93 died on August 27, 2014 at a local health care facility.
She attended Chattanooga Public Schools and graduated from Chattanooga Community College.
She worked with Human Services and Senior Neighbors for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Butts; husband, Duke Shropshire and other family members.
Survivors include her nephew, Samuel L. (Shirley) Moore; other nieces, nephews, friends and special caregiver, Martha R. Brown and family.
Graveside services will be on Friday, Sept. 5, at noon at Highland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9:30–10:30 a.m. on Friday at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
