Shannon Farr Joins LBMC As Director Of Valuation And Litigation Support Services

LBMC, PC has added Shannon W. Farr, CPA, ABV, CFF as a director in Valuation and Litigation Support Services in its Chattanooga office. 

Ms. Farr comes to LBMC with more than twenty years of experience in public and industry accounting. She primarily devotes her practice to valuations of healthcare entities while overseeing the valuation and litigation support function in the Chattanooga market.

Company officials said Ms. Farr's specialized expertise in healthcare valuation assists hospital and health systems ensure their acquisitions meet industry regulations surrounding the concepts of fair market value and commercial reasonableness.

She also assists Chattanooga attorneys and business owners with valuations for purchase and sale transactions, federal estate and gift tax determinations, strategic planning and shareholder disputes and settlements. Shannon also provides litigation support services and expert witness testimony in cases involving valuation issues, particularly in the area of marital dissolution.

Ms. Farr is originally from Nashville (Hermitage). She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a bachelors of science in business administration. She is accredited in business valuation and certified in financial forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Ms. Farr is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Leadership Health Care, Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute, AICPA, and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. Locally, Ms. Farr has served on the American Heart Association’s Circle of Red and as Treasurer of the Signal Mountain Youth Baseball league.

Ms. Farr currently lives in Signal Mountain with her husband and three sons. When she’s not in the office or on the sidelines cheering on her boys’ sports teams, she enjoys camping, hiking, yoga, and is an avid reader.
