TEA To Host Community Discussion On Testing, School Funding

  • Tuesday, February 10, 2015
The Tennessee Education Association Road Trip is making a stop in Hamilton County on Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 5:45-7 p.m. at Orchard Knob Elementary School, 2000 3rd St., to discuss with educators, parents and community members the important issues facing local schools. The event will cover topics including misuse of standardized testing, the state’s lack of investment in students and the need to improve respect of the teaching profession and public schools.

TEA’s Road Trip will make numerous stops across the state where local educators and TEA staff will meet with media, visit schools and host an after-school or evening event to present the hard facts about this year's high-stakes legislative session.
