Registered Nurse At The Diagnostic Center And Several Local Hospitals

Donna Sue Dickey, 63, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late L. E. White and Billie Morris and was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Skipper.

Donna was a lover of life. She smiled the biggest at the sight of her children and her grandchildren. She was a very caring and giving person.

She worked as a registered nurse for the Diagnostic Center and had worked in several Chattanooga area hospitals throughout her career.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Jimmy Wayne Dickey, Sr., three children, Kimberly Lynn Tingle (Scott), of Hixson, Kera Dawn Brazier (John), of Ooltewah, Jimmy Wayne Dickey, Jr. (Jessica), of Chattanooga, eight grandchildren, Hannah Tingle, Drew Pastusic, Evan Pastusic, Emilia Pastusic, Olivia Dickey, James Dickey, Jayson Brazier, Alyson Brazier, two sisters, Patricia Skipper, Linda Holcomb, both of Chattanooga, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Stan Ford officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.

The family will receive friends from 5–8 p.m. on Friday, and from 12–2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend our most heart-felt gratitude to the nurses, doctors and care givers at Hospice of Chattanooga and Tennessee Oncology. We are so very grateful for your talents of care giving treatment and servanthood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or to the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center of Excellence.
