Stellar Therapy Hosts Parent And Staff Training Session On March 17

Hamilton County Department of Education Exceptional Education and Stellar Therapy invite you to attend a parent and staff training session: Classroom Modifications and Accommodations for Language Impairments in the General Curriculum on Tuesday, March 17, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the HCDE Board Room 3074 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga.

This training session will address the following topic:  What type of allowable modifications and accommodations can classroom teachers and parents make for students with suspected receptive and expressive language/communication deficits, particularly when teaching math as well as reading? Participants will be able to join the discussion and explore strategies for providing accommodations to struggling students.  During this session you will discover ideas to add to your bag of “teacher/parent tricks” that will enable these students to begin achieving some success!   This session will be led by Cindy Greeson, SLP/A with over 40 years of experience including 30 years with HCDE.

If Hamilton County Schools are closed due to the weather, the training session will be rescheduled. There is no need to RSVP.
