Local Board Certified Surgeon Offers Revolutionary, Cash-Based Surgical Care With QuikSurg

  • Tuesday, March 17, 2015

Dr. David C. Redd, a local board certified surgeon with 30 years of experience, is taking a revolutionary approach to minor surgical care with QuikSurg. The first-ever of its kind in the country, the cash-based clinic does not accept insurance or third party payers, making minor surgeries generally more affordable and readily accessible for the public.

“Opening this facility is an important step in combatting spiraling healthcare costs,” said Dr. Redd. “This concept of free market medical care cuts out the ‘middle man,’ allowing people fast, direct access to a doctor when they need it at a discounted cost.”

QuikSurg specializes in procedures performed solely under local anesthesia, including wart and skin tag removal, laceration repairs, cyst excision, toenail removal and other minor surgeries. In an emergency room, these kinds of procedures can cost on average $1,500 and require hours of a patient’s time, but the average QuikSurg patient pays about $150 for the same procedure completed in half the time by a board certified surgeon.

“My experience at QuikSurg was fast and convenient,” said Bo McNinch, a QuikSurg patient who had basal cell carcinoma tissue removed. “Although I have insurance coverage, I chose QuikSurg because I like knowing exactly who my money is going to and what I’m paying for, unlike walk-in clinics and hospitals.”

QuikSurg is at 400 North Market Street, Suite 114, in Chattanooga. The clinic is open Monday through Saturday and accepts walk-ins as well as appointments. For hours of operation and more information, visit www.QuikSurg.com or find QuikSurg on Facebook.
