John Roy Nicholson, 88, of Cohutta, GA, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his residence.
He was a member of Cohutta First Baptist and a Veteran of the U.S Army where he proudly served during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Nicholson; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Bob Frady of Cohutta; son and daughter -in-law; John and Susan Nicholson of Jasper Ga.; and grandchildren, Kurt and Spencer Frady.
The funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Nicholson will be held Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. John Bagley officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Ga.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel on Friday, March 6 from 7-9 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or donation can be made to Cohutta First Baptist Church.
