Davis, Cleo L. (Old Fort)

Cleo L. Davis, 86, of Old Fort, TN, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015. 

She was born on February 3, 1929 to the late Grover and Leona Davis.  Cleo had been a resident of this area for 65 years.  She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ, where she had been a member for more than sixty years.  Cleo loved cooking, gardening, quilting, and talking on the phone.  Above all things, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. 

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ray K. Davis; and brother, Theron Davis.

She is survived by four children, Melvin Davis (Cheryl), Rick Davis (Karen), Scottie Davis and Tim Davis (Jennifer); one sister, Pauline Abercrombie (Clyde); one brother, Vernon Davis (Diane); eight grandchildren, Brandon Davis, Wade Davis, Reece Davis, Shawn Davis, Aaron Russell (Melanie), Emma Davis, Caleb Davis and Luke Davis; and several other extended family members and friends. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday April 3, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Church of Christ located at 103 Bates Pike, Old Fort, TN 37362.  Minister Doyle Partin, Minister John Deck, and Pastor Charlie Campbell will be officiating the service. A graveside service will follow the funeral in the church cemetery with the grandchildren serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. at the church on Thursday April 2, and from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, April 3.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery fund located at the address above.
