B+M Surface Systems, headquartered in Eiterfeld, Germany, establishes a North American presence serving the U.S., Mexico and Canada from Chattanooga.

B + M supplies integrated turnkey paint lines and application systems, serving automotive suppliers as well as aviation, consumer electronics, agricultural machinery and other industries.

B+M Surface Systems American Corp., located on Shallowford Road, will add 20-25 new jobs. The facility’s long-term objectives include: commission and assembly of paint lines, working with local sub-suppliers, modifying existing paint lines and supporting North American customers.

“Chattanooga offers excellent infrastructure, a well-educated workforce and close proximity to our customers,” said Manuel Gollbach, CEO of the B+M Chattanooga location. “It’s an ideal location for optimum customer support in the North American market.”

“We’re thrilled that B+M chose Chattanooga as their first North American location,” said Charles Wood, vice president of Economic Development at the Chattanooga Chamber. The Chamber worked with city economic development staff on this project.
