Leonard Norwood
Leonard C. Norwood, 64, of Chattanooga, died after a long battle with illness on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in a local hospital. “I am Free”.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was formerly employed by Suntrust Bank and was a member of Greater Second Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Norwood and father, Cecil Norwood.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Norwood; sons, Damany Norwood of Chattanooga and Lamarr (Cheryl) Norwood of Carteret, NJ; seven grandchildren; sister, Frances (Lonnie) Spellar of Hempstead, NY; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Wednesday, April 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 30, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Steve Caudle as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
