The Ivy Rose foundation, Inc. and the Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will present its Annual Jazz Brunch on June 20, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Imperial Ballroom.  The event commemorates the foundation’s 20th anniversary.  Proceeds from the Jazz Brunch will benefit educational scholarships and community outreach projects.

Each year, Jazz Brunch musicians play to a sell-out crowd during an afternoon of fellowship, fabulous music, food and charitable fundraising.  Frank Bumpass and Jermaine Purifory are this year’s featured musicians.

Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. is the nation’s first Greek-letter sorority for African-American women.  Its mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of “Service to All Mankind".
