Historic Rugby, a restored Victorian village, will host visitors for the annual Street Fair on June 13 and 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The streets of the village will bustle with vendors throughout East Tennessee and the Cumberland Plateau. In addition to the street vendors, the Rugby Commissary will be open with wares from 60 area artists and crafters. While in Historic Rugby, visitors may choose to eat at the Harrow Road Café or other food vendors.

“You never know what you’ll find at our Street Fair,” said Teresa Bowman, executive director of Historic Rugby.  “There are always some real treasures in the mix, and Historic Rugby is the perfect venue for exploring the riches of the past. We invite people to come enjoy the day, have great conversations, and relax.”

Whether you are an avid antique collector, a decorator looking for that perfect piece or an enthusiast searching for an unusual item, the Rugby Street Fair will offer a wide selection of items and ideas.

During the two-day event, the public can browse among a myriad of fine crafts including the blacksmith work of Brad Greenwood and exceptional wood pieces including bowls, boxes and knives.  Available vintage items will include 18th to mid-20th century furniture, glassware, books, tools, linens and quilts, art and much more. Additionally, Christ Church Episcopal will be holding at rummage sale at Friendly House behind their charming historic church.  Admission to the event is free.

Guests can also observe the historic Chandler-Price letterpress in the restored 1880s Rugby Printing works and arts, crafts and vintage wares will be available at the village shops – The Rugby Commissary, Spirit of Red Hill and Missions Matter.
