Bluegrass Jamboree To Benefit "D9" Will Be Held May 16

The Harrison Ruritan Club is hosting a Bluegrass Jamboree to benefit the Ooltewah Harrison Education Foundation, also known as "D9" on Saturday, May 16, from 6-9 p.m. at the Jim McKinney Hall.  Admission is $5 and proceeds will go to D9.  The Bluegrass Jamboree will feature the Lewis Branch Band, Allison/Crass, and New Grass Express.  The Harrison Ruitan Club will also have a menu to purchase food and drinks from, including fried fish plate, BBQ plate, and cheeseburgers.

Officials said, "The Harrison Ruritan Club is part of a national community service organization dedicated to making our communities a better place to live and work."  

D9 is non-profit education foundation who’s mission is to enrich the educational and development opportunities for the Ooltewah and Harrison public elementary students by implementing and uniting fundraiser efforts.
 D9 currently serves Harrison Elementary, Ooltewah Elementary, Snow Hill Elementary, Wallace A. Smith Elementary, and Wolftever Creek Elementary.
