Reba Jo Moffitt, 88, died on June 29, 2015 in her home. She was surrounded by her family, who she deeply loved. 

She was born in Hixson, to Reuben and Molly Turner. Reba was a native of Chattanooga. Her foster parents were Frank and Susie Spanopoulis. She attended Notre Dame High School.

She was a member of Hixson Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed deep sea fishing and being a homemaker. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Elijah. She is survived by her children, Wendell Moffitt (Carolyn), Sue Zimmer (Don), Deborah Jackson (David) and Mike Moffitt (Eileen). Her grandchildren are: Greg Moffitt, Tara Shaw and Steven Moffitt; Anna Baker and Brud Millard; Jonathan and Jennifer Jackson; Amy and Chrissy Moffitt. She has seven great-grand children, and many close nieces and nephews. 

A memorial graveside service will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, in the Garden of the Last Supper at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.on Thursday at the Hixson Presbyterian Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hixson Presbyterian Church Missions, 1005 Gadd Road, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
