Regina “Gina” L. Thompson, 66, of Cleveland, Tennessee and Denver, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015.
She was born to the late Walter Lee Varnell and Margie Johnson on December 29, 1948. She graduated from Bradley Central High School. Family and friends were Gina’s passion and delight. She was a devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jesse Maxwell Thompson; her father, Walter Lee Varnell; mother, Margie Johnson; beloved brother, Dean Lawson; and brother, Mike Varnell.
Gina is survived by her mother-in-law, Veva Thompson of Cleveland; two sons, Jesse Michael Thompson of Belpre, OH and Jason Maxwell Thompson of North Charleston, SC; one daughter, D. Carol Davis of Denver, NC; one sister, Cheryl Roton of Decatur, TN; and five grandchildren, Madison, Rob, McKenzie, and David Davis and Hayden Thompson.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 20, at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7180 N. Lee Hwy, Cleveland, TN. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
