Ronnie Hightower
Ronnie Alfred Hightower died on July 1 , 2015.
He was a member of Greater Tucker Missionary Baptist Church and 1967 graduate of Riverside High School. He was a member of the Chattanooga Gospel Orchestra and a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his father James Hightower; brother, Thaddeus Hightower, Sr., and his grandparents.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Erma Jean Hightower; his loving mother Alice Hightower; daughters, Juhwonna Kelly, Shenika Hightower-Walls, Gina (Anthony) Reviere; grandchildren, Rauelle, Giovanni, Devin, J’Yniah, and Xavier; brothers, Roderick Martin, Greg (Brenda) Martin; brothers-in-law; Robert Earl and Michael, and Ronnie Pickens; sisters-in-law, Betty (David, Sr) Miree), Linda (Dale) Pickens, and Bornetta Hightower; a special cousin, Mima Gates; devoted friends Van Hickman and William Ramsey, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, at Greater Tucker Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Hathaway officiating, Pastor William Daniel as eulogist.
Interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 13, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July11, from 6-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
