George Wilmoth, CPA/PFS, MST, CGMA was named a Top 10 Public Accounting Professional for the state of Tennessee by the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals. He is the only Chattanooga accountant to make the list. 

NAPAP uses a rigorous selection process to determine the to accounting professionals in each state.  Criteria in the evaluation process includes:  license status, nominations submitted by peers and clients, years of experience and areas of expertise, continuing education, certifications, publications and awards, leadership in the field, peer and clients reviews.

As partner-in-charge of Tax Services at HHM, Mr.

Wilmoth possesses a profound knowledge of tax law and is often called in to assist with the Firm’s most complex tax issues.  He also oversees HHM’s Healthcare Advisory Services Group, adeptly handling the unique needs of physicians and their practices. This expertise comes from spending nearly 15 years with two of the Big 4 accounting firms.  While at KPMG, Mr. Wilmoth worked with middle market clients in manufacturing, defense contracting, and high net worth families.  At Ernst & Young he worked in international tax, handling complex tax issues, assisting multi-national executives working abroad, as well as assisting foreign nationals on assignments in the United States.

Mr. Wilmoth received a master's of science in taxation from the College of William and Mary. He has Chartered Global Management Accounting and Personal Financial Specialist designations from the AICPA. He serves as a national tax committee member for Auto Team America.
