Gene Shipley Is A Man Of Service

  • Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Oftentimes we are asked what we would like our legacy to be known as when we leave this life.  Well, I can tell you for Gene-O Shipley it will be "service".  Several generations of his family, going back to his grandfather, to the youngest of his family, has served this community.  Often times people don't know the work this family does because they do a lot that only a few people know about.

Let's take his daughter, Amy, who for several years has headed up the harvest festival at Soddy Elementary; and his son, Trey, does a lot of community service through his talents as a plumber and businessman.  Then there are the grandchildren.  If you have been to any project or event, more likely than not, you have seen those children doing their part.

First of all he is a family man.  He and DeeDee have set their life as a goal of service and doing good for people and teaching their children the spirit of service.

Gene Shipley has the full support of his family to continue his service to Soddy Daisy by asking you to support and vote for him.  There are very few things in this city that you see done without looking and see his fingerprints are there, often without the name.  That is by design because all he wants from it is that the city of Soddy Daisy people have a better life.

What better way to leave your city with a legacy, as a man and family of service.  Join me in voting for Gene Shipley for commissioner of Soddy Daisy.
