Kay Ruth Smith, 72, of Graysville, Tennessee, died on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her home.
She was born in Dearborn, MI on Dec. 21, 1943 to the late Boyd Chapman and Juanita (Moore) Rhodes. Ruth was a resident of Graysville all her life, and she enjoyed cooking and reading with her family. She was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith, and received the Chosen Lady Award from her church.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard Smith of Graysville; her daughter, Rhonda (Max) Yeargan of Dunlap; two grandchildren, Victoria Faith Yeargan and Kaden Ryan Yeargan, both of Dunlap; and her brother Kenneth (Rowena) Rhodes of Graysville.
A funeral service for Ruth will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bud Schermerhorn officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Graysville.
