Chattanooga Veterinary Network Launches Scenic City Locations

  • Wednesday, October 26, 2016

Chattanooga Veterinary Network has opened a network of veterinary clinics around the Chattanooga area.  By the end of 2017, CVN plans to have 10 Pet Wellness Centers in the Chattanooga area.

Tag Thompson launched the network in September.  “I decided to open a network of animal hospitals that are independently owned by local veterinarians,” said Mr. Thompson.  “These hospitals aren’t big and extravagant.  They’re smaller, and they really focus on the relationship with the pets and the pet owners. Because a veterinarian doesn’t have to have a CT, an MRI and all those other things in their hospital, we are able to lower prices across the board.”

Since its inception, CVN has opened locations in St. Elmo and Hixson.  The St. Elmo Pet Wellness Center will act as the central hub that houses all of the larger, more expensive equipment, which serves the satellite clinics that extend throughout the Chattanooga area on a 24/7 basis.  The Pet Wellness Centers, such as the one in Hixson, will offer vaccines, blood work and wellness exams.  The St. Elmo center will offer radiology, surgical services and dentistry.

By the end of 2016, CVN hopes to open more locations in the neighborhoods of North Shore, Fort Oglethorpe, and Main Street.
