GDOL To Sponsor North Georgia Open Job Fair In Dalton

About 30 employers will be recruiting to fill a number of jobs during the North Georgia Open Job Fair in Dalton on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post 112 located at 1118 North Glenwood Ave.

Staff from the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL), the event sponsor, will be on site to assist the job seekers. Also, the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission will provide a mobile unit equipped with 13 computers to help job seekers develop their resumes.

The job fair is open to all job seekers. It will feature a number of employers, educational institutions and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Those who have already registered include Beaulieu, Brown Industries, Dalton Box, Dalton City Police, Dalton State College, Doc-up, Family Connections, Garland Sales, Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, Georgia Northwestern Technical College, Hamilton Medical Center, Hays Prison, Highland Rivers, Legal Shield, Mohawk Industries, Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy, Oriental Weavers, Quality Staffing, Shaw Industries, Southeast Lineman Training Center, Sustained Corrugated, Snap Food Bank, Tandus, Textile Rubber, Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office, Whitfield County Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFACS) and  Woodmen of the World.  

Job seekers interested in attending the job fair may visit www.employgeorgia.com to create an account and upload, or prepare, a resume. Having an Employ Georgia account expedites the interview process.

Applicants are encouraged to bring a resume and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.
