Quit Idealizing The Butcher Castro

  • Saturday, November 26, 2016

Good God, Geraldo!, can't you just once speak out against thugs and killers like Fidel Castro without calculation?

I was a young  U.S. Air Force serviceman when Castro took over Cuba from Batista in 1959.  Do you not remember the pictures on television after the revolution of the hundreds, yea thousands of politicians, professors, business leaders, and even ordinary Cubans that were lined up over ditches and against walls to be shot by Castro and the animals that followed him.

You know perfectly well that he fought as a liberator of oppression, imprisonment, injustice, and poverty in his country, only to reveal his true nature after the revolution as he began murdering even those that believed in and fought with  him.  Yes I remember all of it, and judging by your age at the time, you do to..

Quit romanticizing this butcher simply because you were able to "tag along" on an interview with this mad man, and shake his hand. Have you forgotten how he encouraged Russia to use atomic bombs on America?  Can we all say "Cuban Missle Crisis".   Try to focus on the generations of Cubans since then that have lived in fear for their lives over the past 55 years.   Just try to speak out against Castro's policies there like you do conservative values here in America, and see how long it would be before you would be smuggling your articles out to the public from behind bars.

No, Geraldo, any excuses or romantic notions about this killer, thug, and mad man should not pass your lips simply because like Chris Wallace you got a "tingle up your leg" because this butcher shook your hand.  Being a flaming liberal is one thing, overlooking the joy that all Cubans feel today with the passing of Fidel , and trying to find "something good to say" about him is reprehensible and dishonest journalism on your part.

Good grief, man, take a stand and quit worrying that you might say something to offend Raul  and miss out on the chance to go to Cuba for a "story".  See , the great unwashed out here in fly-over country are not as stupid as you think.  Shame on you.
