Nickeil Alexander-Walker named MVP with 24 points and nine assists in a 81-65 victory over Hillcrest for the Lighthouse Thanksgiving Classic title on Saturday at Corinth High School.
Therren Shelton-Szmidt scored 19 points and Shai Gilgeous-Alexanderadded 18 for the Hawks (3-1), who made 34 of 74 shots for 45.9 percent.
Mahamadou Diawara had nine rebounds for the Hawks while Alexander pulled down six and added nine assists and seven steals and Issa Samake and Szmidt each had five.
Alfred Hollins of Hillcrest (10-1) poured in a game-high 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Virshon Cotton added 10 points for the Bruins.
