Viva L. Johnson Carlton, 88, of Dunlap, Tennessee, passed away Monday November 7, 2016.
She was a Member of Dunlap First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carlton was preceded in death by her husband, Nevin Carlton; parents, Oliver and Almeda Perry Johnson; and brothers, Billy W. Johnson and Johnny Frank Johnson.
Survivors include her daughters, Joann C. Byars, of Hillsboro, and Neva Beechum, of Murfreesboro; sons, Johnny (Rita) Carlton, and Jerry (Teresa) Carlton, both of Dunlap; sister, Jacqueline (J.B. Doil) Harvey, of Graysville; brothers, Barker (Betty Jo) Johnson, Stan (Willene) Johnson and James (Patricia) Johnson, all of Dunlap; nine grandchildren, Johnitta, Pay, Nicole, Kyle, Lavon, Lindsey, Josh, Jesse and Brandon; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. CST Wednesday Nov. 9 in the Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
