The University of Kentucky Wildcats baseball team made a pit stop at Cracker Barrel in Ooltewah on their way to a game at University of Georgia. There, they met Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove residents who enjoyed the athletes’ company.

“Those young men were so cute and so well mannered,” said Margaret Jenkins, resident at Morning Pointe.

She and Edna Delong, another resident, wished the team good luck on their game.

As a part of the Meaningful Day program, the Life Enrichment Program at Morning Pointe takes residents on their favorite community outings where they never know who they’ll meet.

The assisted living community, at 9650 Leyland Dr. in Ooltewah, serves residents in the Ooltewah area with a wide variety of activities and care services that enhance quality of life.
