CFC Advances On Penalty Kicks In US Cup

The Chattanooga Football Club and Reading United AC battled into two overtime with no results Wednesday night in the second round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup national tournament at Finley Stadium.  CFC advanced on penalty kicks and will play again on June 1st. 

Reading missed their first penalty kick and CFC goalkeeper Tom Halsall made a big save on their second shot giving CFC a 2-0 advantage.  CFC's Luke Carrier would bury the fourth kick to earn the 4-1 penalty kick win. 

CFC advances to the third round and will host  City Islanders of the USL on June 1st at Finley Stadium.  

CFC will host a league game this Saturday when Nashville FC comes to town.
