Jackson, Tenn. - Ryan Yarbrough was brilliant on his way to his fifth win of the season as and D.J. Peterson had three hits including a home run as the Generals defeated the Chattanooga Lookouts 7-0 in the series finale at The Ballpark at Jackson on Monday night.

Peterson dominated at the dish, going 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, double, and three runs batted in. Over the final three games of the series against the Lookouts, Peterson went 7-for-12 and raised his batting average from .214 to .242. The first baseman is also on a four-game hit streak.

Jackson (27-17) took the lead early with two outs in the first. Guillermo Heredia was hit by a pitch and scored all the way from first on Tyler O'Neill's second triple of the season. The triple was Jackson's 18th overall, the most in the Southern League this season.

In the third, Benji Gonzalez led off with a single to center. After Heredia and O'Neill went down quickly, Peterson brought in Gonzalez with a double to dead center to give the Generals a 2-0 lead.

Chattanooga (19-26) struggled all night against Ryan Yarbrough. The Lookouts failed to put a runner in scoring position until there was one out in the sixth. After just one hit through the first five innings as a team, Zach Granite singled to shallow right with one out in the sixth. Granite advanced to third on a pair of errors, but was stranded after an inning-ending double play.

In the bottom of the sixth, Jackson broke the game wide open. O'Neill walked and then scored when Peterson launched a two-run homer to left, his third of the season. Four of the next five Generals singled and Jackson took a 7-0 lead into the seventh inning.

Yarbrough (5-1, 2.49) finished off his fourth quality start of the season with a 1-2-3 seventh. The lefty tossed seven shutout innings while giving up three hits and no walks. Yarbrough punched out seven, one shy of a season-high. He has won in five-straight starts and his ERA is down to 2.49.

Andrew Kittredge and Edwin Diaz closed out the game for the Generals, combining to throw two shutout innings while walking none and giving up three hits. Jackson's pitching staff has now gone 21 innings without walking a batter. The last base on balls given up by the Generals was on May 21.
