Experienced non-profit professional Kim Etheredge has been named the new Director of Operations for the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, the foundation announced today. Etheredge replaces Ray Lallier, who is leaving the foundation to take a position as territory manager for Atlanta-based Arbor Pharmaceuticals.
Ms. Etheredge, from Soddy Daisy, Tenn., previously served as executive director of Ruth’s House, Inc., a safe haven for victims of domestic violence, in Washington, NC. Ms. Etheredge also is the former director of the Rhea Medical Healthcare Foundation in Dayton, Tenn, and is a former regional vice president and senior regional director for the American Heart Association. She holds an MBA from Newport University.
“Kim’s background and expertise is going to fit perfectly with our efforts,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “We have a full lineup of initiatives and activities scheduled for the balance of this year and as we approach our 10-year anniversary of establishing the foundation this December, we have a variety of new initiatives in the works for 2017. With Kim on-board, we won’t miss a beat during our planning process.”

The Austin Hatcher Foundation honors the memory of Austin Hatcher Osborn, the son of Amy Jo and foundation CEO Dr. James Osborn. “Hatch” died in the autumn of 2006 at the age of nine weeks due to a very aggressive form of pediatric cancer. The foundation operates with the mission to eradicate the effects of pediatric cancer on both young patients and their family members, providing a range of services designed to assist in both the fight against the disease cancer and the aftermath of the battle that patients and families face.
“From their personal tragedy, the Osborns remarkably went on start their foundation and help so many through the years,” Ms. Etheredge said. “They truly are genuine, amazing, compassionate people.
