Ruth Helen (Heinold) Hunziker, 87, of Rossville, Georgia, formerly of Deer Creek, Illinois, died on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from complications of her fourth stroke.

Ruth was born on March 7, 1929, to George and Mary Heinold. She was raised in Deer Creek, Il., the youngest of eight children.

Ruth became the young bride of a sailor just returning from World War II named Magnus Hunziker of Washington, Illinois. The young couple, struggling to make ends meet, built a house and a home for their family of six children on 11 acres of rural country side, which the children remember fondly. Ruth was a homemaker her entire life. She gave freely of her time and energy to her children and later her grandchildren, her church, other families in need and her siblings. She was very involved in teaching young lives at their church through Bible school and Sunday school classes.

She faithfully served with Mag for 46 years at New Castle Bible Church in Mackinaw, Illinois where services will be held.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan (Bob) Bingamon, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Lori (Stephen) Bower of Rossville, GA, Julie (Paul) Rhudy of Rossville, GA; three sons, Jim (Karen) Hunziker of LaFayette, GA, Steve (Patty) Hunziker of Chattanooga, TN, and Gary (Pam) Hunziker of Chickamauga, GA; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Melvin Heinold of Eureka, Illinois and one sister-in-law, Mildred (Wilbur) Heinold of Eureka, Illinois.
