Wearables Is The July Exhibit At River Gallery

The Wearables exhibit featuring Jenny Threads by Jen Swearington, jewelry by Mary Lynn Portera and jewelry by Katie Rogers will be at River Gallery July 1-31.  

There will be an opening reception on Saturday, July 9, from 5-7 p.m. with the artists.  

River Gallery is at 400 E. Second St.

River Gallery's July Wearables Show features contemporary fabric and jewelry dedicated to timeless styles, color selections and comfort. 

Jen Swearington, known for her Jenny Threads, creates handmade clothing designed to accentuate appearance and bring joy to the wearer. 

Mary Lynn Portera, local clay artist, creates jewelry from handmade ceramic beads and natural stones, providing a distinctive organic palette.  

Local jewelry artist, Katie Rogers, works with beads from multi-cultures to create a modern reinterpretation of the ancient talisman and adornment.
