Viva Eaves Moore, 89, died on Thursday, June 30, 2016.

She was a native of Polk County, but had lived in Chattanooga for over 60 years. She retired from Cutter Laboratories and was a member of Bartlebaugh Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H “Jimmy” Moore; parents, Robert and Sara Houlk Eaves and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, DeWanna Bennett of Chesterfield, South Carolina; son, James Devon (Lisa) Moore of Chattanooga; two granddaughters; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, from 4-8 p.m. at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, July 2, at 11 a.m. in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Minister Harold Firestone officiating. Interment will follow in Chestuee Baptist Church Cemetery in Polk County.
